STAFF
BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) is a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis. Professionals who are certified at the BCBA level are independent practitioners who provide behavior-analytic services. In addition, BCBAs supervise the work of Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians, and others who implement behavior-analytic interventions.
BOARD CERTIFIED ASSISTANT BEHAVIOR ANALYST
The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst® (BCaBA®) is an undergraduate-level certification in behavior analysis. Professionals who are certified at the BCaBA level may not practice independently, but must be supervised by someone certified at the BCBA/BCBA-D level. In addition, BCaBAs can supervise the work of Registered Behavior Technicians, and others who implement behavior-analytic interventions.
REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN
The Registered Behavior TechnicianTM (RBT®) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA, BCaBA, or FL-CBA. The RBT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services. The RBT does not design intervention or assessment plans. It is the responsibility of the RBT supervisor to determine which tasks an RBT may perform as a function of his or her training, experience, and competence. The BACB certificate supervising the RBT is responsible for the work performed by the RBT on the cases they are overseeing.
APPLIED BEHAVIOUR ANALYSIS
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has its roots in the studies of B.F. Skinner and his theories on behaviorism. In general, ABA is the design, implementation and evaluation of environmental modifications to produce socially significant improvements in human behavior.
ABA includes the use of direct observation, measurement and functional analysis of the relations between environment and behavior.ABA uses antecedent stimuli and consequences, based on the findings of descriptive and functional analysis, to produce practical change.

Parent/staff training
Our Board Certified staff work with the individual and caregivers in a variety of settings to identify the function of the maladaptive behavior (s). Once the assessment is completed, the staff will develop an individualized behavior plan to both reduce the maladaptive behavior and teach functionally equivalent replacement skills.
Our staff will work hands on with caregivers modeling the procedures, observing implementation of
all procedures and providing feedback to caregivers on their implementation of the behavior plan. It is our ultimate goal for the caregivers to effectively manage the behaviors of concern independently.
Staff will not only monitor plan implementation but will also be monitoring data collected to ensure
that the program is effective. Modifications to the program will be made as needed based on data.
At times, problem behaviors may not be occurring but there may still be a need to teach deficient
skills such as communication, toileting, and other adaptive skills. Our staff are knowledgeable in these
areas as well and are able to devise a program to meet the individual's needs.
